Older Adult Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) Services

Service Description

Provides specialized mental health services for seniors age 65 and over who are experiencing mental health issues such as late onset depression, bipolar illness, psychosis, severe behaviour problems related to dementia, problems related to aging that complicate treatment of mental illness, and abuse/neglect/self-neglect of seniors who are vulnerable because of mental illness. Services include psychiatric diagnosis, medication, individual and group therapy, rehabilitation, consultation, and education. This office provides intake for all the VCH older adult mental health and addiction services offered at local community health centres. Hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
