Outreach Support

Provides individual staff support to adults with developmental disabilities living independently in the community and in their own residence; support is based on individual needs, goals, and outcomes. Services may include assistance with household tasks such as cleaning and minor repairs; grocery shopping and meal preparation; budgeting, banking, and money management; laundry and personal hygiene; and scheduling and attending appointments. Promotes self-advocacy and assists with conflict resolution when needed. Support is typically provided between 9 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, but exceptions can be made. Funded by Community Living BC (CLBC); referral required. Serves North Thompson Valley (Avola, Barriere, Birch Island, Blackpool, Blue River, Clearwater, Darfield, Little Fort, Louis Creek, McLure, and Vavenby). Office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
