Service Description

Offers Indigenous Parent Support Circles which are self-help groups for Indigenous parents and anyone in an Indigenous parenting role within BC. Circles address parental stress, discipline, and the building of parental support systems. They are facilitated by trained volunteers and are free, confidential, anonymous, and provide culturally safe spaces. Also offers Indigenous Kinship Support Circles where discussion topics include parenting, relationship, financial, health, retirement, and social life issues; information and referral is also provided. Circles meet online, and pre-registration required by phone, email, or online referral form (https://bit.ly/provcircleform). Group Facilitator Training is offered to volunteers for free, and to professionals for a fee; information and registration is available online. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
