Service Description
Provides and maintains local parks, trails, and recreation facilities including the Richmond Nature Park, nine community centres, four pools, two arenas, and the Richmond Pitch and Putt Golf Course. Accessibility Services section works to identify and remove barriers to participation so the City's built environment, programs, and services are open, accessible and appropriate for everyone, regardless of income or ability. The Recreation Fee Subsidy Program offers admission and program registration subsidies for people in financial need to access cultural and recreational facilities. The Recreation Access Card entitles residents who live with a permanent disability that seriously impacts their daily living with a 50 percent discount to drop-in activities at recreation facilities (some restrictions apply). The Grade 5 Active! Pass provides free access to drop-in activities and select programs.
