Service Description

Provides a gathering place for Aboriginal children, youth, and families. Works to increase cultural awareness and understanding, and services for the Aboriginal community. The OSKAYAK Aboriginal Youth Program provides a drug- and violence-free place for those ages 14 to 24 to connect with their culture, socialize, gain new skills, obtain community resources, participate in group activities, and receive one-to-one support. Youth are actively involved in the creation of programs, activities, and community events through the OSKAYAK Aboriginal Youth Advisory Council. Additional programs and activities include leadership and career exploration, National Aboriginal Day Celebrations, and health and wellness programs for families, children, and youth.
