Service Description

Helps people with spinal cord injuries and related disabilities overcome the challenges of living in a wheelchair by building communities of support. Coffee groups meet regularly and peer events offer opportunities to socialize and participate in a range of activities both in person and online. An events calendar is available online. The Peer Connection program also connects new participants across BC with someone in the area who has gone through similar challenges as a result of their injury or disability. Peer Health Coaching program matches participants with a trained peer coach to help individuals achieve personal goals and increase self-management skills. Application to Peer Connection and Peer Health Coaching is through Peer Program coordinators listed online.
