Peer Support Training Program

Service Description

Trains parents and caregivers of children from birth to six years of age to work in a supportive role as volunteer peer mentors for other parents. Participants learn about peer mentorship, understanding a family resource centre, the benefits of volunteering, peer support, stress management, community resources and the referral process, and crisis management. Registration required. Childminding and transportation are available if needed.
