Peer to Peer Program

Provided by: Collingwood Neighbourhood House

Service Description

Provides youth engagement and prevention-based training to youth aged 12 to 18, and education on issues such as drug and alcohol misuse, gang violence, bullying, sexual exploitation, and homelessness to children in grades five to seven. Operates on a multi-level, peer-mentorship, volunteer model: high school graduate mentors work to train high school-aged youth in prevention topics; high-school-aged youth then collaborate with elementary school students to develop prevention topics, workshops, and presentations for children in the Collingwood/Windermere/Renfrew area.
