Service Description

Provides same-day access to urgent care and primary care for people living in the Tri-Cities and New Westminster. Offers patients access to a team of healthcare professionals for immediate care, and ongoing care through referrals to a range of community services and supports. Urgent care services deal with illnesses and injuries that should be addressed by a health care provider within 12 to 24 hours but do not require the level of service or expertise found in an emergency department. Also provides appointments to patients including the frail elderly, people with mental health and substance use concerns, and patients unattached to a physician. Hours are 9 am to 8 pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays for urgent care. Also helps attach patients to regular primary-care providers in the community for their long-term care; hours for this service are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Offered in collaboration with the Fraser Northwest Division of Family Practice.
