Positive Health Outreach Program

Outreach workers meet with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members living with HIV and/or Hep C. Provides culturally-sensitive services including counselling, support services, and referral to community resources. Also includes group facilitation, education, advocacy, and accompaniment services. A principles-driven program based on the cultural teachings of the medicine wheel; complements the medical model while recognizing the need for holistic support. Primarily serves the Fraser Health Region. Funded by Fraser Health.
