Service Description
Through home visiting and education services, provides a range of services that help build parental capacity to support the healthy development of children from pregnancy to six years of age. Parents work with the home visitor to develop personal and family goals, support networks, and strong parenting skills. May provide transportation and support to attend community parent-child programs. Provides prenatal vitamins and food vouchers to low-income pregnant and breastfeeding women. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves Clearwater and area (Avola, Birch Island, Blackpool, Blue River, Little Fort, and Vavenby). Office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
