Service Description

Provides health care services on a first-come, first-served basis for residents of the Downtown Eastside and urban Indigenous people. Family physicians offer primary care medical services (except obstetrics). Nursing services are available seven days a week. Specialty services include psychiatry, mental health counselling, alcohol and drug counselling, diabetes education, and dietitian counselling. Provides opioid users with free Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) that can be used to reverse the effects of overdoses from opioids like fentanyl, heroin, methadone, morphine, and oxycodone. Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) is also available. Also provides HIV education and treatment. Provides safer sex supplies, including condoms. Clients may or may not have medical coverage, and may be receiving income assistance; certain conditions may apply. Service is provided in English; no access to interpretation provided. Hours are 9 am to 12:30 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; 9 am to 12:30 pm and 1 pm to 8 pm Wednesdays; and 9 am to 3 pm Saturdays.
