Service Description

Responsible for the training and clinical care guidance activities for all health care professionals in the province who are prescribing medications to treat opioid addiction including oral opioid agonist treatment (methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone, and slow-release oral morphine) and injectable opioid agonist treatment (hydromorphone and diacetylmorphine). Also maintains a province-wide directory of Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) Clinics Accepting New Patients at www.bccsu.ca/oat-clinics-accepting-new-patients.
