Service Description

Provides training, education, and crisis response to first responders, frontline workers, and people with lived experience/peers working in the overdose public health emergency who have been impacted by the effects of critical incidents such as multiple overdoses and deaths. Workers being exposed to more frequent traumatic events may be susceptible to compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and other stress-related harm. MRT members provide education and crisis response services that enhance the long-term sustainability and psychosocial resilience of those responding to overdoses and overdose deaths. Also provides education materials and workshops, crisis intervention (for teams or one-on-one), outreach services, and introduction of peer support tools to individuals and groups.
