Service Description
Provides public health nursing services. Prenatal and Early Years services include prenatal nutrition and lifestyle information; education and information on pregnancy and childbirth; postpartum support, including physical and emotional well-being for mothers and babies; breastfeeding assessment and support; child health clinics and immunizations; and dental services. School-age Health services include immunization, health promotion, and nutrition education, as well as vision, hearing, speech, and dental screening. Services are coordinated through local school districts; no referral is required. Serves Gibsons, Halfmoon Bay, Madeira Park, Pender Harbour, Roberts Creek, and Sechelt. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Provides opioid users with free Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) that can be used to reverse the effects of overdoses from opioids like fentanyl, heroin, methadone, morphine, and oxycodone.
