QMUNITY Seniors and Older Adults Services

Offers opportunities for community connection, social support, and personal development for LGBTQ2SAI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, Two-Spirit, asexual, and intersex) seniors age 55 and over. Conducted online, services include social events, educational workshops, and one-to-one support and referral. The Friendly Visitor Program matches LGBTQ2S seniors to peers and intergenerational volunteers for visits by phone. The INDIGO Survivors Support Group is a counsellor-facilitated online group for those who have or are experiencing elder abuse. QMUNITY Older Adults Food Security Assistance offers monthly grocery cards for low-income LGBTQ2SAI+ seniors; limited quantities are available.
