Real-time Drug Alert and Response (Report Bad Dope)

Provides an online web form and texting service to report drug overdoses and drug contamination. Participants do not have to provide their names or contact information. They can report information such as the date of the overdose, what town and neighbourhood the substance was purchased in, types of substances thought to be used, and the physical description of the substances. Photos of the drug and or its packaging can also be uploaded. To report, text "bad dope" to 236-999-DOPE (236-999-3673). To receive alerts, text "alert" to 236-999-DOPE (236-999-3673). The service covers the Vancouver Coastal Health region which includes the Central Coast, North Vancouver, Richmond, the Sunshine Coast, the Sea to Sky corridor, Vancouver, and West Vancouver.
