Service Description
Assesses, treats, and supports women and their families who are dealing with mental health disorders and psychological difficulties related to pregnancy and following the birth of their baby up to one year postpartum. Also offers group educational sessions about premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Provides one pre-pregnancy planning session for those with existing mental health disorders. Referrals accepted from physicians, nurse practitioner or midwife. Patients must have a family physician for ongoing health care management. Serves Vancouver and communities in BC outside of the Lower Mainland (Northern Health and Interior Health). Hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
