Residential Historical Abuse Program (RHAP)

Service Description

Provides access to free counselling services for individuals ages 19 and up who were sexually abused as children (when age 18 or younger) while living in homes or residential facilities that were funded or operated by the BC provincial government. Clients are not required to prove they were sexually abused. After intake, clients are directed to Fraser Health-endorsed counsellors in the community. Funded by Ministry of Health, in cooperation with Ministry of Children and Family Development, Ministry of Attorney General, and Ministry of Education. Serves Fraser Health (Abbotsford, Agassiz, Anmore, Belcarra, Boston Bar, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Delta, Harrison Hot Springs, Hope, Maple Ridge, Mission, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, and White Rock). Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
