Service Description

Co-ed residential homes provide safe environment to give stability during crises and transitional periods in youth's life. Homes offer nutritious meals, educational and recreational opportunities, support and feedback for youth and family, behavioural assessments to assist in long-term care planning, development of positive relationships with other youth, and counselling services. House staff work with other agencies and programs in the community, as well as MCFD social workers to provide assistance in setting up school meetings, doctor appointments, drug and alcohol outreach sessions, and work experience opportunities. Emergency Receiving Homes for Youth include Esau, Beach House, Newton House, Cedar House, and Delta House. Specialized Long-Term Residential Programs include Willow House, Aspen House, Maple House, Rowan House, and Southside House. Specialized Long-Term 13 and Under Homes include Huckleberry House and Lilac House. Residential Program for Adolescent Girls is offered at Southside. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
