Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF)

Air component of the Canadian Forces defending Canada at home and abroad. Defends North America through a defence partnership with the United States, and contributes to international peace and security by protecting leadership abroad. Operates Wings across Canada, and participates in joint operations with the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Army. Air Force personnel assist with humanitarian aid and diplomatic missions, air lift for equipment and troops, and air and ground support in regions of conflict. Also provides search and rescue missions throughout Canada, operating with federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal organizations, and with air, ground, and maritime volunteer search and rescue organizations. Also offers specialized training and schools with other air forces around the world.
