Self-Employment for Newcomers

Service Description

A free in-person, 10-week training program for immigrants and other newcomers age 19 and older to become a small business owner. Participants will learn about business plan development and Canadian business practices through one-on-one coaching and group workshops as well as learn about digital literacy and receive ESL (English as a Second Language) support. Registrants must have permanent resident status, be a convention refugee, or in Canada under CUAET (Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel), have been living in Canada for less than five years, and be un- or under-employed. Serves Metro Vancouver. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
