Service Description

Provides opportunities for immigrant and refugee seniors or seniors from any ethnic community, age 55 and older, to engage in group activities, community events, and volunteering to connect with peers, improve their language ability, and develop life skills (such as healthy living, active aging, safety tips, rights and responsibilities, and community and healthcare orientation). Focuses on strengthening and stimulating emotional, intellectual, and physical health. Services are offered by phone, email, online, and in person by appointment only. Serves Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC); New Horizons for Seniors Program; and City of Burnaby.
