Seniors Quality of Life Outreach (SQL) Project

Offers social and recreation activities on a drop-in basis for Chinese-speaking immigrants age 55 and over. Activities include arts and crafts, singing, exercise, and educational workshops on topics of interest to seniors. Also offers community outings, and special events such as birthday parties and festive celebrations. Membership at the relevant community centre is required. Marpole-Oakridge Chinese (Cantonese) Seniors Group meets 9:30 am to 11:30 am Thursdays at Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre (990 West 59th Avenue). Marpole-Oakridge Chinese (Mandarin) Seniors Group meets 2:15 pm to 3:45 pm Tuesdays at Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre (990 West 59th Avenue). Killarney Mandarin Seniors Group meets 9 am to 11 am Fridays at Killarney Community Centre (6260 Killarney Street). Hillcrest Seniors Group meets 11:15 am to 12:45 pm Wednesdays at Hillcrest Recreation Complex (4575 Clancy Loranger Way). Funded by City of Vancouver.
