Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA)

Provides free support to prepare immigrants to enter the workplace. Eligible applicants must be newcomers who have received approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to immigrate to Canada and plan on settling in BC. Applicants must have confirmation of permanent residence, a Canadian visa or a letter notifying pick-up of a Canadian visa, or a medical or security notification letter; must also have English level (IELTS) of 5.5 or higher. Services are delivered by email and online. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
