Provides a range of free services to newcomers (including immigrants, refugees, and refugee claimants) intended to help them learn about, settle, and integrate into their new community. Settlement services include peer support, accompaniment and home visits, interpretation and translation, advocacy, needs assessment, and development of a personal plan. Services are provided by trained settlement workers who are themselves immigrants and understand the needs and challenges of settling in Canada. Available in Arabic, Cantonese, Farsi, French, Mandarin, Spanish, and English.
