Short Term Assessment and Treatment (STAT) Centre

Provides day hospital and inpatient services to seniors experiencing health changes that interfere with functioning and independence. Services include medical and functional assessment, treatment for illness, strategies for coping with disabilities, education regarding aging and health promotion, a therapeutic activity program, a rehabilitative program, and assistance to continue living at home or to move to a residential care facility. Referral from and cooperation with a family physician is required. Day hospital hours of operation are 9:30 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday.
