Service Description

Nine-week program helps unemployed newcomer youth ages 18 to 30 years build foundations for employment and education while receiving a living wage and a financial incentive at completion. Supports the development of life skills, essential skills, and career readiness they need to go back to school and prepare for a career. Program includes skills for work and life success, pathway planning, cultural support, mentorship, occupational certifications, and work placement. Eligibility requirements include legally entitled to work in Canada; minimum English language skills; not in employment, education, or training; and Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada and has been in Canada less than five years. Funded by Government of Canada.
