Skwachays Lodge Aboriginal Hotel and Gallery

Social enterprise model with hotel guest fees and gallery revenue supporting a program for Indigenous artists. The Artists in Residence (AIR) program offers subsidized housing and 24/7 access to shared artist workshops and programming for emerging, mid-career, and senior Indigenous artists to support personal and professional development; a multi-term residency is dependent upon successful program participation and achievement of self-defined career goals. The Urban Aboriginal Fair Trade Gallery is available online and open from 9 am to 5 pm, seven days a week. The Skwachays Lodge is a boutique hotel with each unique room designed by Indigenous artists and hotel designers.
