Service Description
Mobile health education service provides free access to prenatal education for pregnant women. Sends three text messages per week tailored to how far along a woman is in her pregnancy. Also provides an online directory of available support services and programs. Aims to empower women to take control of their health and their pregnancies and to promote access to health information and services in rural and remote communities. Partnership between BC Health Authorities, First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Ministry of Health, Perinatal Services BC, and Optimal Birth BC. Register by texting SmartMom to 12323.
