Service Description

Free family-centred program for children from birth to age three who have or are at risk of having a developmental delay. Supports parents to understand and respond to children's needs, and assists the family in planning a program of activities that encourages development in physical, intellectual, and self-help skills. Home-based services include home visits, developmental assessment, gross motor screening, infant massage, and referral to other community services. Also offers weekly group programs for parents to meet other parents and for children to develop skills through interaction with staff and other children. Provides multicultural services through interpreters or staff who speak a variety of languages. Referrals accepted from parents or professionals. Serves Delta, Langley, Surrey, and White Rock. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
