Service Description
Provides in-home services for families with children and youth with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders who are experiencing challenging behaviours. Services include a functional behaviour assessment and/or skills assessment, and individualized program design, implementation, and monitoring. Aims to enhance quality of life and function through intervention, communication skills, and other life skills training. Offers a reference library for families featuring books, videos, journals, and therapeutic equipment. Also provides direct training to families in managing disruptive behaviours and providing behaviour support. All referrals are through Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Serves Vancouver Coastal, North Fraser, East Fraser, and South Fraser MCFD regions. Through the Access Positive Behaviour Support Program, offers fee-for-service positive behaviour support for families with children up to age 19 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, as well as children with no formal diagnosis but who would benefit from behaviour analysis services. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves the Lower Mainland. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
