South Vancouver Youth Centre (SYVC)

Provides services for at-risk youth ages 12 to 18 in Grades eight to 10 that offer growth opportunities in academics, literacy, life skills, vocational skills, self-care, computer skills, and volunteer and community involvement. Transition planning with youth facilitates successful transitions between school programs or to employment. Youth are welcome to drop in to use the Resource Room from 9 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday; offers assistance with resume writing, finding housing, and accessing educational or community services, as well as access to internet, computers, and telephone. Youth workers are available to provide one-on-one assistance. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development.
