Service Description

Provides health care for individuals with non-life-threatening conditions who need to see a health care provider within 12 to 24 hours but do not require an emergency department. Provides basic in-office care services for conditions such as sprains and simple fractures, minor cuts requiring stitches, minor burns; rapid access to mental health and substance use crisis intervention services; and assessment and treatment for minor illnesses. Also works to attach patients who do not have a family doctor to a regular primary care provider in the community, and provides ongoing care for unattached patients while working on connecting patients to other local practices for their ongoing primary care. Staffed by family doctors, nurse practioners, nurses, and social workers. Open year-round, including statutory holidays; hours are 8 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturday, and 9 am to 5 pm Sundays and holidays. Location is accessible. Serves the Vancouver South area. Offered in collaboration with Vancouver Division of Family Practice, and Ministry of Health (MoH).
