Special Education Technology - BC (SET-BC)

Provincial outreach program that works in partnership with school districts and independent schools to support students with special needs. Lends assistive technologies to school districts to help students meet their educational goals, and provides consultation, training, and ongoing support for students and educators in the use of these technologies. Supports students with physical disabilities, chronic health impairments, autism spectrum disorders, moderate to profound intellectual disabilities, dependent handicaps, visual impairments, deafblindness, and students with learning challenges. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by BC Ministry of Education and Child Care.
