Provides settlement services for immigrants and refugees (protected persons and convention refugees). Services include new immigrant orientation and referrals, Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) classes with childminding, public workshops, community connections activities, a family literacy program, labour market and employment services, and career mentoring for newcomers. Placement of new students is determined by testing administered by the Surrey Language Assessment Centre. Service is available in English, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Spanish, Punjabi, Farsi, Dari, Somali and French. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
