Service Description
Provides specialized trauma-informed services to address immediate critical needs and systems navigation for newcomers with complex barriers to settlement. Services include emergency and transitional housing support; emotional and clinical counselling; case management; information and orientation on various topics; labour market supports including employment counselling; health education workshops; and English conversation circles. Eligible newcomers include refugee claimants, asylum seekers, Canada Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa holders, Canadian permanent residents, protected persons, temporary foreign workers, and live-in caregivers. Services are offered in English, French, Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin), Dari, Farsi, Korean, Kurdish, Swahili, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. Serves Metro Vancouver. Funded by Government of Canada and Government of BC.
