Sue Bujold Floor

Provides eight beds for women (including transgender women) from the Downtown Eastside who are living with chronic, life-limiting health issues, including those who may be nearing end of life. Services include advocacy, emotional support, end-of-life doula, health care health care assistance and access to an outreach team. Staffed 24-hours with health care assistants, including LPNs, and primary health care will be provided by an attending physician and nurse outreach team. Women who have their own doctor and or primary health care teams are welcome to continue to work with those teams. Length of stay is up to six months, but is flexible depending on need. Rent is charged and includes fees for groceries and cable television. Pets are welcome. Wheelchair accessible.
