Supported Child Development (SCD) Program

Assists families of children up to 12 years of age who have extra support needs, to access inclusive child care that meets individual needs; youth ages 13 to 19 are considered on a case-by-case basis. Also supports child care, preschool, and out-of-school care programs to implement and develop inclusive principles and practices that enhance children's experiences. Offers a lending library with toys and information resources for service providers. Accepts self-referrals from parents/guardians or community and medical professionals. Serves Burnaby and Vancouver. Services are offered via a mix of in person, videoconferencing, phone, and email.
