Supportive Transitional Living in Recovery (STLR)

Service Description

Provides supportive recovery beds for individuals age 19 and over who have successfully completed detoxification and are continuing with outpatient programming with Interior Mental Health and Substance Use Services and other community services in order to maintain their recovery. Clients must be capable of a high level of self-care, suited to a communal living environment, living a life of abstinence, able to regulate themselves emotionally, and willing to participate in programming as it relates to their individualized treatment plan, and life skills programming. Serves those in Kamloops who do not have stable shelter or clients outside the community who do not have access to appropriate outpatient services in their home community. Offered in partnership with Canadian Mental Health Association, Kamloops Branch. Funded by Interior Health Authority, The Stollery Charitable Foundation, Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, and the United Way of Thompson Nicola Cariboo.
