Surrey Mobilization and Resiliency Table (SMART)

Service Description

Multi-agency group of human service professionals provide integrated services to assist those who are at imminent risk of harm, victimization, or criminality. Professionals from a variety of disciplines (including law enforcement, corrections, housing, health, social services, income assistance, and education) meet to review cases, and when appropriate, will execute an intervention plan within 24 to 48 hours. Referral required from a SMART community partner. Serves Surrey. Partnership between BC Corrections (Adult Probation), City of Surrey, Community Living BC, Connective Support Society, Elizabeth Fry Society, Fraser Health, Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association, Lookout Housing and Health Society, Ministry of Children and Family Development, Mileu Family Services, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation, Native Courtworker and Counselling Association of BC, Newton BIA (Community Safety Patrol), Options Community Services, Pacific Community Resources Society, Sources Community Resources Society, Surrey Downtown BC, Surrey Pretrial Services Centre, Surrey RCMP, Surrey School District, Surrey Urban Mission Society, and Surrey Women's Centre.
