Service Description

SET: Seniors Embracing Technology offers technology support to seniors 10:30 am to 12 noon on the second Monday of each month, including support sessions where participants bring their own devices. Volunteers also offer one-on-one tutoring and support with electronic devices including smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers; appointments and COVID-19 vaccination are required. Services are free with Century House membership. OCTOPUS Technology and Information Education offers seniors ages 50 and over programs that are based on technology, art, music, or anything creating or educational; topics and program length varies. Programs may be offered in person, online, or hybrid. Programs don't require Century House membership, and are free (there may be exceptions when materials are required). Funded as an Active Aging Plus program by United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program.
