Temporary Resident Permits for Human Trafficking Victims

In cases of presumed human trafficking, immigration officers may issue Temporary Resident Permits (TRP) for up to 12 months to victims of human trafficking, without a processing fee. With the granting of a TRP, victims also receive health care benefits and trauma counselling, and are eligible to apply for a fee-exempt temporary work permit.
