The Private Career Training Institutions Branch

Provides consumer protection to students and prospective students of registered career training institutions, and establishes standards of quality that must be met by registered and accredited institutions. Through the Student Training Protection Fund, offers tuition refunds to eligible students in the event of an institutional closure or in the event it is determined a student was misled by an institution. Student support inquiries, claims, and complaints can be addressed to PTI.StudentSupport@gov.bc.ca. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
