The Sanctuary Women's Transitional Housing Program

Service Description

Offers affordable and supportive transitional housing for individual women (cisgender and transgender) or women-led families in early recovery stages who are experiencing precarious housing, homelessness, and other barriers. Housing is in furnished studio and one- to three- bedroom apartments. Women must be 19 years or older. Typically, applicants are within six months to five years of beginning their recovery and must not be a danger to themselves or others. Supportive services include life skils and career development, emotional and spiritual counselling, peer support and mentorship, recovery meetings, social and recreational activities, childcare including after-school care, and teen programs. Pets are not permitted. Rent is based on 30 percent of gross income or maximum shelter allowance.
