Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS)

Service Description

A community connection program offering educational, physical, and recreational activities for seniors who live in Northeast Vancouver. Eligibility criteria include adults age 55 and over who experience health/mental health/mobility challenges, are looking for friendship and community connection, and are able to participate independently in programs. Educational activities include health workshops, English as a second language classes, and digital literacy classes. Other services include monthly community lunch, arts and craft kit delivery, and referral to community services. Support is offered in multiple languages. Offered in partnership with United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program, and funded as a Therapeutic Activation Programs for Seniors (TAPS) by the Government of BC.
