Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS)

Service Description

Offers therapeutic physical, educational, creative, and social activities to seniors ages 55 and older living in the West End, supporting them to remain independent in their homes and active in their communities. Eligibility criteria include having physical or mental health issues, mobility challenges (use of a walker or cane), and/or financial challenges. Services include outreach, weekly meals, peer support, access to counselling, access to a tablet loan, and referral to community services. Participants must be able to carry out their personal care independently and be able to participate in group activities. Offered in partnership with United Way BC (UWBC) Healthy Aging Program, and funded by Government of BC.
