Service Description

16-week, part-time program assists Grade 12 students with special needs and/or learning difficulties to make a successful exit from secondary school into training or workplace settings. Students are introduced to post-secondary education opportunities, examine future training possibilities, and address the steps/skills required to obtain more education and/or entry into the workforce. Two five-week practicum placements allow exploration of vocational interests and further development of work readiness skills. Program is offered during fall and winter semesters. Financial assistance available to cover the cost of tuition for most applicants. Priority is given to students from School District 43.
