Tri-Cities Rent Bank

Aims to increase housing stability by providing one-time interest free loans to people in danger of eviction, homelessness, or essential utility cut-off due to temporary financial crisis. Interest-free loans may be used for rent payment, hydro/natural gas payment, or security deposits. Maximum loan amount can be up to $800 for a single person, 1,600 for a family, and $300 for utilities. The maximum repayment period is 24 months, and payments are made through automatic withdrawal. Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, a resident of the tri-cities (Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, or Port Moody), and demonstrate need and provide proof of income and tenancy. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, or by appointment.
