Service Description

A 10-bed stabilization and transitional living residence for men, women, and transgender individuals ages 19 and older with substance use issues. Provides supported recovery services that are client-centred and evidence-based, including expressive arts therapy, acupuncture, yoga, aromatherapy, recreation therapy, and nutritional planning. Three- to five-month program is designed to improve quality of life and promote healthy living practices; residents may be permitted to work for the last two or three weeks of their stay to assist the transition back to work and into the community. Clients should be medically stable and not be at risk of experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms at intake. Accepts individuals on opioid replacement therapy. Accepts referral from self or other; priority placement is for residents of Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton and those referred through Vancouver Coastal Health's Mental Health and Addictions program. Sliding scale fees for individuals who are not receiving social assistance range up to $250 per day. Preferred intake hours are Monday and Tuesday mornings. Administration hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded as a Stabilization and Transitional Living Residence (STLR) by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and licensed by Community Care and Assisted Living.
